Colored Jeans

When I went to NYC last weekend my girl Valeisha had on some amazing bright red jeans, that I and a few other ladies practically snatched off of her right on the spot lol. Luckily she told us where we could find them, and we rushed over there and purchased our own, thus avoiding any harm coming to V (kiddin, sort of..) Needless to say red jeans and colored jeans for that matter are making a huge come back. They are sooo freakin hot I can't take it. I got mine (thanks to Valeisha) at Intermix, and not only did they have red, they also had bright blue and salmon pink, wowzers. Take a lookie:

The Harem Pant
One of my absolute favorite types of pant is hands down the "harem pant" which is a pant or denim style with a drop crouch. I have worn this type of pant and seen it worn for the past 5yrs now, but as with most things here in Cleveland its just starting to be embraced. And please understand that this pant is not for everyone by any means, you have to really know how to work these pants when wearing them. Yet once you learn how to accompany these pants with the correct ensemble + add mad swag...your pretty much the chicest gal in town. Well below are some pics for your fashionation!!!

The harem looks so sophisticated with heels or booties, but they look just as good with flats....but please lady's don't wear this look with sneakers. Yet then again, your talking to someone that only believes that sneakers should only be worn when working out lol. Some of my favorite harem pants are the sweat pant looks worn with a basic tee

Luchini Shoes

Yesterday I looked at a shoe line called Luchini that Steve Silver (the shoe buyer) sometimes brings in for NEXT stores. He had to miss out on his appointment to see the line because he's been busy getting the new store together in Tower City. So, I looked at the line myself and took notes of a few possible favorites that you may see in the store as early as February. Take a Lookie at some of the styles and pleeeease comment on your likes or dislikes..... It would help out a lot to get some open opinions.

The Crop Top
Tunics tops are "OUT" and crop tops are "IN"....(well not exactly true because in women's fashion just about every look possible is in lol). Yet I can say that the crop top is definitely making its comeback, making all of us fashionably correct females have to eat a bit better and get in the gym a whooooolllle lot more. And for the fashionista that doesn't quite want to show off her stomach this look is best worn with a tunic or tank dress underneath or with high waited skirts, shorts, jeans, or catsuit. I absolutely love how freshly flirty these tops are.....Below are some pics for your fashionation lol!!!! Take a Lookie;-)

"Ballerina-Chic" Style
Art inspires life....and so did the movie "Black Swan" the beautifully grotesque movie thriller starring Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis. This spring one of fashions most prominent trends will be "Ballerina-chic" with soft flowing chiffon and silken fabrics, nude colors, ballet flats, and swept up hair looks. I am so excited about this look because it gives off such a soft and feminine look, with effortless style. Below are some examples of this trend for your fashion inspiration.

New York Trip for SP2011 Tradeshows
This past Sunday I went to New York city to attend a couple trade shows to buy product for NEXT stores. The trip was very productive because I saw and purchased great merchandise, was able to get a great insight of where fashion is going for SP/SUM 2011, and was able to experience NY in a short amount of time. Below are random pics and video recap from the trip.

Menswear for Women
One of the biggest trends going on in women's fashion right now is.....Menswear. Yes I said it, menswear. Slacks, blazers, tuxedo jackets, button downs, and to top it off ties. Most people won't like this trend and furthermore most people will not do it correctly either. Its one of those trends that lie on the thin line of looking incredibly great or incredible bad...but I guess either way at least you look incredible lol. I personally adore this trend and will be rocking the f'k out of it somewhere soon, not to say that I will do the trend justice myself!!?!? One of the first people that I saw it on personally, maybe at all, was my girl Yun who I credit as being the most stylishly fashion forward person I know. I have to say she starting rocking the look over a year ago, and I absolutely loved it every time she did it. Well below are some pics of this trend, both good and bad...Take a Lookie!!!!

Jessica Alba: The way that she is wearing this look would look great on most women of different sizes. I like how she made this look very feminine by just wearing the blazer, slacks, and no shirt underneath.
Leighton Meester: I love how Leighton has completely gone for the whole androgynous feel of this trend by incorporating the button down buttoned all the way to the top with a lose tie. The way she pieced this together looks best on a very slender build, a curvy frame could look to stuffy in this particular look.Halle Berry: I have to say that this wasn't exactly my favorite version of this trend. Granted she is beautiful and didn't murder the trend, but in my opinion it was just way to much going on. The metallic print with the embellished black top, and boot cut slacks were all wrong to me. In my opinion (and I am no style guru) with a style like this the minimalistic approach is the best one to achieve.
