Swimwear 2011

Against my better judgement I leave for Mexico in a few weeks..pray that the drug cartel has an off week when I'm there! And so starts the quest for the perfect swimsuit. I don't know why the 20 in my drawer aren't good enough but they're not, lol. And as I am not leaving the resort for anything and plan to spend every ounce of my time there at the pool/beach with the kiddies, I might as well look fantabulous! So I found some that I had to have and figured that even though it's pretty cold for most of us, you never know which ones of you may be traveling somewhere warm during the holiday season. Somebody Call 911: Betsey Johnson Swimwear Edition

Omg! Words can not adequately explain my feelings for the 2010 collection of swimwear from Betsey Johnson. Every single piece is hot, hot , hot! I personally bought 3 different tankinis from the collection. And trust me if I didn't have an outie (as in bellybutton) I would cop every single last one of her bikinis!! When I was in Miami I wore my black and white tankini (pictured below), with my Chanel heels (see previous post), and heard one of the workers at my hotel say "Good God" as I walked by. Not to mention the admirers (both black and white) poolside who couldn't get enough of me bending over to dry off my daughters...smh.. Let's just say that these suits are just what you need to jump start your vacation, pool party, or man's heart (among other things) this summer. Take a lookie!

Crazy for Betsey!

I am such a girlie girl. I've already told you about my love for tulle, the color pink, and all things that bring out my inner princess. Well there is no other designer out that encompasses everything I heart more than Betsey Johnson. I was introduced to her line at a very early age. My mom (who I get a lot of my inspiration for my fashion posts from) was/is addicted to her. Every time we went to any city (except Cleveland, who has never had and may never have a Betsey Johnson store) we had to search out a Betsey Johnson store. I remember thinking what is the big deal, as my mom tried on dress after dress in her zebra and pink boa dressing room. It was only when I became an adult and got some real fashion sense that I finally got it. And I'm happy to say that my mother now has a partner in crime to help her search down those stores. Betsey Johnson is a genius. Every time I step into her stores I experience a natural high. (The only other time this usually happens is when I buy Chanel shoes but that's for another post.) My mom and I even got to go to her fashion show during New York Fashion week a few years back. And yes at the end of the show, Betsey came down the runway doing her signature cartwheels.
